QR code

The QR code (Quick Response Code; 2D code) was developed at Denso (Japan) in 1994. It is square and easy to recognize thanks to its search aids, light and dark squares nested in each other in three corners.
The symbol elements are squares, of which there are at least 21 x 21 and a maximum of 177 x 177 elements in the symbol. There are 4 error correction levels that allow reconstruction of the damaged code from 7 % (level L) to 30 % (level H). Up to 7089 digits, 4296 alphanumeric characters or 1817 Japanese characters (Kanji/Kana) can be encoded. The content can be divided into up to 16 individual codes. The QR code is standardized at AIM. A code specification is available there.
In the mobile tagging sector, the QR code is one of the most frequently used codes. A special solution here is the combination of QR code and graphic to Q-Logo, a development of the Japanese company logoq.net.
