UPS
A UPS (uninterruptible power supply) is a power supply with a battery that can supply connected devices for a certain period of time during a power failure.
– AC UPS: An AC UPS supplies an AC voltage at the output to buffer the AC mains voltages.
– DC UPS: A DC UPS supplies a direct voltage (usually 24 VDC) at the output. It can either be just a control unit for charging and monitoring the battery. It can also be a control unit with a built-in battery or it can be completely integrated into an AC power supply unit together with the battery.
